Pears. Another gift of autumn. Ripe, grilled, and covered in blue cheese, honey and basil. A complete party in my mouth. The sweetness of the fruit itself and the light drizzle of honey pairs so nicely with the pungent, salty blue cheese. The basil adds another depth of flavor and pistachios lend an additional texture.
The pistachios are not shown. Why?
1.) They were a last minute decision.
2.) In frantically opening the bag, pistachios violently flew EVERYWHERE. Emma and Riley tried to eat them.
3.) The few pictures taken starring the pistachios were a little blurry.
Grill cut side down for 5-7 minutes on medium heat.
Sprinkle and drizzle away…
